At Evergreen, we treat your family like our family.
Becoming an Evergreen resident brings with it a whole new level of respect, dignity and unconditional love. You won’t hear these words much in the Assisted Living World. We’re here to change that.
Our residents aren’t just patients, customers, or names on a chart. They are part of the Evergreen extended family. When we say family matters that means we go above and beyond high-tech solutions and corporate playbooks. We try and succeed in providing happiness.
We start by treating our staff like family. We listen to their concerns, we respect their needs, and we always put people before profits. Why? Because when we show our people, we care about them, they extend that circle of care to your loved ones. By looking out for one another, we build a community that cares for all of us including your family. That’s what being The Community that Cares is all about.
A community that caters to individuals and individual needs
Our staff is extremely well trained and highly experienced, ensuring that they can properly care for you or your loved one. Our associates also continue their education throughout the year, and they participate in ongoing in-service training and seminars.
Our Caring and Helpful Staff
Our exceptional staff is always willing to go above and beyond for residents. For our associates, this opportunity to serve others is more than a job — it’s a passion. Everyone working at Evergreen is very involved in the day-to-day lives of our residents, helping create an enriching and caring experience for them.
The Evergreen Story
We take pride in providing the best possible care, while striving to maintain individuality, independence, and insuring the dignity of each member of our community. This is our central theme in each care and service plan.
Just a few examples of what makes Evergreen unique:
- Our culinary department provides nutritious meals while emphasizing taste and appearance;
- Residents participate in a wide variety of weekly outings and other events;
- Daily exercising, which is based on cardio-vascular exercises such as walking and stretching, is just one part of our activity program;
- Our health staff, including medication techs and caregivers, work in conjunction with each individual’s physician to ensure their optimum health;
Evergreen is a strong and close-knit community, based upon loving care, understanding and respect for each other, in a safe environment. Our greatest validation is when residents confide that choosing Evergreen was the best decision they and their families have made.
The Evergreen Philosophy
Independence – a strong commitment to upholding the residents wants and desires
Uniqueness – appreciating the differences in our residents beliefs, nationality and philosophies
Humor – a smile induced is the best medication
Freedom – exploring the world and each resident’s thoughts and opinions of our world
Animals – small animals are welcome
Feedback – we always solicit opinions
Family and friends – are part of the circle of care for residents
Words seem so inadequate to express our deepest gratitude for the tender, loving, wonderful care and concern given to our Mom and family. We know that your job sometimes is very difficult but you ALL have truly made a difference in so many lives. Thank you for your labors of love. Keep up the amazing work.
I wanted to take a moment to express my appreciation for the entire Yorkshire House staff. Mom was with you for five and a half years, Dad for three years before that – and every thought is a happy moment. The Christmas parties, musical programs, laughter during bingo, walking in the park, and so many others.
As the years passed and Mom’s health declined, you knew exactly what she needed and made sure it was provided for her. You always brought a smile to her face and put her at ease, even when she couldn’t remember who we were. I can’t count the times I said thank you, sometimes through the tears, but I know it can never be said enough.
I just want to thank all of you for the help and love you gave Ann, and the kindness and support you gave my family. God bless all of you, I love you all and can’t even begin to express how much you all mean to our family.
Our family want to thank you for the truly wonderful care that you have given John, our beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather. We know that what you do is truly an amazing gift, for which we will always be grateful.
You have our heartfelt gratitude for the excellent care our father experienced during his time at Yorkshire House. He was happier than we could have imagined. From the day he moved in it surprised him how much he enjoyed his life “in a home”. It wasn’t long before he truly considered it to be his home and couldn’t imagine being anywhere else.
Needing help isn’t easy for a proud Marine like our father. He was always given the highest standard of care with respect and dignity. You should be very proud of the work you do at Yorkshire House. God bless you always.
